Gone...
Well, Pete is no longer here. He left the "glass menagerie" of sorts and got himself a boat down in Florida. I do not know what equivalent of an Irish Pub he found there to be his second home. Funny one that guy. American as can be but a fan of Nottingham. Bizarre, all of them. Some others are QPR fans. Like the other fella.
The closest to some body warmth the other fella ever felt were the smiles and mellifluous words of that Tennessee girl. Nothing more, nothing less. Titillating words that had an effect of carrying him throughout the week. Content with very little. It bordered on being completely astonishing. Greasy diet, pounding Jameson back and washing with Guinness... And the shitty weather? Wow, that grey sky... Woe to those "nor’easters" bringing sludgy, cold, blistering rain.
